INDEPENDENT FILM PRODUCER

A multi-hyphenated feature film producer formally credited as Producer, Line Producer, Unit Production Manager, and Co-Producer for work on feature narrative films where he routinely develops, pitches, schedules and budgets independent, moderate-level feature productions under IATSE, Teamster, DGA and SAG collective bargaining agreements.

In-house tenured experience producing content at Passionflix (Tosca Musk), WebMD, PIVOT TV, Inspiration Network, and The Film Foundry. With a wealth of knowledge and experience spanning all aspects of production from script to screen. Awarded Best Picture at the Moments International Film Festival 2017 in Malaga Spain for his Lead Producing credit debut of the independent feature film entitled “The Man Who Loves To Hurt Himself”.

Known among his colleagues as a true collaborator with a can-do attitude and an insatiable work ethic. He is a vocal advocate and champion for diversity and equality in front of and behind the camera in the entertainment industry.

Producer:

A physical and creative producer for over 20 narrative features. As a producer for hire, adept at lower-budget / mid-market Union Tier feature-length narrative films. Genre agnostic but primarily, Thriller, Comedy, Sci-fi, and Dramas with an appeal to target niche audiences.

The Man Who Loves To Hurt Himself : 

In 2017 the feature film released was Short’s directorial debut, The Man Who Loves to Hurt Himself with Gravitas Ventures on Blu-Ray, DVD, and VOD. Not only directed but produced, shot, edited, composed, mixed, and marketed this from beginning to end (it never ends). It has performed with much success serving its intended core niche audience and winning multiple awards from a worldwide festival release. This film won the coveted Best Film Award at the Moments Festival in Malaga Spain 2018.

Son of Sun : 

Is the Award-Winning narrative film produced from conceptualization, writing, pitching, managing, directing, post, and completion/delivery as Lead Producer. It was accepted to compete in an Acadamy Award qualifying event at the Nashville Film Festival in 2020, at the height of the COVID pandemic, this was Nashville’s first online-only event.

 Career :

The rest of his career is peppered with experience ranging from ADR for Showtime’s Homeland and AMC’s Turn: Washington Spies series’, to being a non-scripted producer for many hours of reality programming, including Assembly Required on History Channel; to Associate and Co-Producer credits on feature films for many independent distributors including Lion’s Gate, AMC, Samuel Goldwyn, and IFC to name a few.
